The next North West Branch Meeting of the NADJ takes place on Tuesday 27th September 2011 at Upton by Chester British Legion, Heath Road, Upton by Chester, CH2 1HX and we will be asking the question: Are you ready for BPM? A new local member will be giving us information and wants members to join in on the discussion "How do you benefit from being a member." Come on down and join in the active debate. Come along and join in with us we really would like to see you. Other members will be discussing what they do behind the scenes. Leslie Ball will conduct a presentation on advertising and he'll be showing how he promotes his business. He will ask for constructive feedback from the attendees and he will also ask if the DJs are willing to bring in their own advertising material. This is not an exercise to criticise the promotional material, it's an opportunity for improvement.
Small business operators usually start off with the cheap and cheerful Vistaprint business cards because they fit the bill, but as time goes on, many DJs opt for a more professional look and go for the better quality laminated business cards (not the laminating that you can do at home). These business cards look better, they last longer and they have a quality appearance. It's quality that you're trying to portray to customers, after all! Many DJs will have received enquiries/bookings for the festive season, so we are also asking about how you are "Getting ready for Xmas parties." We'd like to help our members make sure that they are well prepared. We are expecting a good selection of members (and non-members, who are thinking about joining the National Association of Disc Jockeys). The meeting is open to all DJs and many attendees have gone on to join the Association when they see the benefits they receive with membership and also the great networking opportunities, so please bring a friend or colleague with you! The meeting begins at 7.30pm, so make sure you are there early and are settled for the meeting. For more information please contact any of the Branch Committee members: - John Bonner - 07885 445 600
