DJ Mag Technology Awards
DJ Mag

The closing date for nominations for DJ Mag's annual Technology Awards is getting closer.  DJs from across the UK will be able to put forward the tools of the trade that they feel worthy of recognition.

The event is in its 15th year and takes place at the BPM show at Birmingham's NEC in October.  Magazine readers will be able to put forward their nominations in eleven different categories.  They will also shortlist the three products from a further eight catagories and then a panel of expert judges will take over.

To add a new dimension to the awards, the manufacturers must then put on a live demonstration of their product in a timed presentation.  The judges will then get to use the equipment and scrutinise the experts on their wares.  Points will be awarded for each aspect of the process and the results will be announced at the end of each round.

To add further pressure on the manufacturers and their presenters, all of this will take place in real time and filmed in front of visitors to BPM.

Magazine readers will have to wait to hear who the winners are in the December edition, as Heath Holmes, Sales and Marketing Director of DJ Mag explains: "The results and videos will be presented in a special digital online magazine and in print in December’s Christmas issue.

"We will also be producing specially edited celebratory videos for use as viral marketing.

"If you would like to put forward products for cfonsideration, please do so as soon as possible.  Bear in mind that the product needs to be on the market already. We are finalising the nominations at the moment so this is your last chance."
