A massive thank you to all of the attendees of the NADJ Wales Social Night on Sunday 5th February 2012 and the organisers for making it such a fantastic night at the Holiday Inn in Newport.  Pictured above is Jean Lockwood who won the raffle prize of a selection of Mastermix Grandmaster CDs and a highly sought-after Tidy Bunny (a relation of the well-known Jive Bunny) with Dan Essex.

  The Wales branch members were joined by the NADJ Committee and other DJs from across the UK.  We had the pleasure of Dr Helen Lee who opened up her Social Networking Clinic, so that she could advise our members on how to use and maximise the potential of promoting their business through sites like Facebook.

  Richard Lee, Label Manager for Mastermix, used the opportunity to brainstorm with our members on future products and ideas.  Richard also spent a considerable amount of time putting together a special quiz which included a very tricky round of popular music being played on a Hammond organ.  Richard commented that the inspiration came from the heavy use of Hammond organ to entertain people in the clubs of Rotherham.

  Paul Arnett brought along a great networking game that resulted in one question going unanswered: Who claimed to have had that bits down below pierced?

  It was someone who was in the room, but we still don't know who it was because they never owned up... perhaps it was a joke?

  Not everyone realises the amount of time and effort that goes into organising an event for DJs and the NADJ Committee would like to thank the Wales branch (Justin Banwell, Mark Weller, Paul Thompson and Brian Jones) for all of their efforts and for making everyone feel so welcome.
